Holiday Gift Wrapping // Gold + Black + Kraft
This year I wrapped most of my Christmas gifts in a simple color palette of gold, black, and natural kraft brown. I love the modern look of black and gold paper paired with the natural texture and color of kraft paper.
I don’t usually have a gameplan when I go to buy wrapping paper for the season. I start by selecting one or two rolls that stand out to me, and then choose a couple more complimenting rolls. When possible, I like to use at least one solid color – pretty patterned paper tends to stand out more when there are some solid packages in the mix.

I highly recommend keeping a few large rolls of classic curling ribbon around. I have been working on this roll of gold ribbon from Target for several years. The multi-packs of ribbon that come out for the holidays don’t have nearly as much ribbon and usually cost more. It’s also fun to use unconventional ribbon and twine to add texture and personality to your packages. Black baker’s twine and jute twine (shown below) are both available in my online boutique.
Add handmade tags to your gifts for a personalized touch. These simple parcel gift tags look nice on their own, but it’s also fun to dress them up with rubber stamps (this bird stamp is one of my favorites), metallic pens, glitter, or whatever craft goodies you have around.
Did you find any amazing gift wrap this year?
